Last Friday night Kate and Jim were alone at their house.
Their parents had gone out for dinner
As they were watching TV, they suddenly heard a noise
from the attic. They ran there scared and they opened the door slowly. Jim ,who
was older than Kate thought that the noise was coming from a burglar who broke into
the house.as they opened the door ,they saw two yellow eyes moving around and a
ghost near the window. Kate started crying and she ran downstairs. Jim was
frozen with fear too but he stood near the door to watch.
Then he went downstairs to find his sister and convince
her to take a torch and go to the attic again
to see what’s up there. Finally they went upstairs ,opened the door and felt
something blowing. Kate as frightened as Jim reached for the switch and turned
on the light. They couldn’t believe their eyes. The creature with the yellow
eyes was their cat and the ghost was the curtain that was flapping by the air.
They were so relieved and they burst out laughing .When
their parents came, they told them their story and they were amazed too.
