Randy the Raccoon stories are designed to teach young learners with fun stories about Randy, my stuffed toy raccoon.
Each story has a glossary, comprehension questions, grammar
explanations and exercises and some fun follow-up questions. Kids can do
it on their own or a parent or teacher can guide them through the

The Randy Stories
- Randy and the Shiny Pizza
where we meet Randy for the first time as he finds something wonderful
to eat in the garbage bin. The accompanying lesson focuses on the
Present Tense and the verb “to be”.
- Randy’s New Friend teaches possessives and introduces us to Katie, the diamond loving cat.
- The Best Car focuses on comparatives as Randy goes shopping for a car to hold all his garbage in.
- Pancakes at 8 in the Evening teaches adverbs of frequency (always, never, sometimes, etc.) by introducing us to Randy’s strange schedule.
- Metal in Your Microwave.
Randy can put metal in your microwave but he won’t. Learn modal verbs
and trick your friends with the difference between can and may. - Randy and the Nobel Prize follows up on modal verbs, adding could, will and would to the mix. Also Randy makes an important scientific discovery.
